The Ambience of Hexagon House Shops...

Hexagon House was built between 1852 and 1854 by Luther Briggs, Jr.  Influenced by the Greek revival style of architecture, the Hexagon house is a two story, six sided structure with a brick foundation and fieldstone-lined cellar.  Each of the six sides has a pair of shuttered French doors below and casement windows above.  One theory of historians is that the house was built in a hexagon shape to allow as much sunshine in because the sun helps keep "consumption" (tuberculosis) at bay.

With original woodwork and horse hair plaster, Hexagon House in Pembroke, Massachusetts is thought to be one of only the last remaining of its style.

The shop is located on the property in a 19th century barn that may have also been used as a home.

Treasures can be found in every corner.  Recently, an 11-piece Stickley Brothers bedroom set took center stage.  Built between 1900 and 1910, the dovetail constructed set has the original design details of painted flowers on each piece.  In addition to the sturdy headboard and footboard, we have a bureau, dresser, dressing table, stool, chair and five mirrors.

Every corner you turn, you will find a new treasure, we have books, posters, many signs and much more.
